What Do We Do?

I own and rent historic homes to students and families and have several houses located within walking distance to WWU. All houses are located in single family neighborhoods and are code compliant.

A special thank you to all of our tenants for helping get the houses shown and rented and to our new tenants we look forward to working with you in August and September.  Thanks to everyone for another great year!

How to Rent

Every Spring we begin pre-leasing properties, so we suggest you begin your search early, usually around late March to April. Please have all prospective tenants together when viewing a property.  We are happy to assist you in finding your new home, but request you follow the instructions below to make the process as efficient as possible.

Finding a House

Browse our website to find houses you are interested in. With each property, there is a picture of the house and a description on rental amount and security deposit. Rents and deposits are subject to change and are not guaranteed.  We recommend that you then drive by the property to view the outside and acquaint yourself with the location and neighborhood. PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB THE CURRENT TENANTS.

If you would like to see the inside of the property, you can make an appointment under the picture of the house.  Appointment times are set up by the current tenants schedules and to minimize disruption.  If a house does not have an appointment link, that means either we do not have any availability or we are still working with the current tenants to coordinate times; so check back or email for clarification.

Rental Application

Once you have found and viewed a property you are interested in, you may apply for it. Before applying, ALL people interested in living at the property need to have seen it (for prospective tenants unable to view the property you can send pictures or video). Each person to live in the property must fill out a Rental Application. The application can be found on the Forms tab.  If you do not have a strong previous rental history we will also require the Co-Signer Form.

Submitting Your Rental Application

You may submit your applications in person, by email, mail or fax. It is very helpful if you have applications completed and bring them with you at the time of viewing the property.  Each person to live in the house must submit and application.

If you submit by EMAIL, please fill out the form, but DO NOT INCLUDE ANY CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION ‑ please contact us via phone with the information. 

The Rental Application fee is $25 per applicant and the Co-Signer fee is $15. Please turn in your application fees at the time of submitting your applications. If you submit applications online or by fax, please mail the fee or email me to arrange payment.

Application Approval

Once your application has been approved, you will be contacted and a time will be set up to meet and sign the Lease/Rental Agreement. All people to be renting the property need to be present. The Security deposit is due in full at this time. 

Your deposit will hold the property for you until the first day of your lease/rental period. Your new home will be ready for you to move in anytime after 12:00 pm on the first day of your lease/rental period. Contact me about one to two weeks in advance to set up a time to meet at the property and receive keys. The first month’s rent and the pre-paid last month’s rent are due IN FULL on the first day of the lease.
